Google + Hangout – Take Your Business To The Next Level

Google + Hangout
When you are ready to take your business to the next level, you need to get involved in social media. Google + is quickly becoming one of the best social media platforms for businesses of any size. It is especially helpful for small businesses that do not have the marketing budgets of larger businesses.

Google + Hangouts

Businesses have begun using the Google + Hangouts for question and answer sessions, interviews, webinars and contests. You can invite your customers to ask questions or simply record yourself demonstrating a new product or particular technique. Perhaps you have had many customers questioning you on how to use refillable ink cartridges. Show them yourself on a Hangout, and then post it to your blog for future customers to watch.

One really brilliant aspect of Hangouts is the ability for you and your viewers to watch YouTube together. If there is already a really fabulous YouTube video out there showing the technique your customers are interested in, simply invite them to watch it with you. Then you can host a question and answer session after the video has ended.

Hangout and learn something new

You may have originally thought that a Hangout was similar to YouTube. While it is true that these sessions can be recorded and posted on your blog and website, you must remember that these are interactive sessions. A YouTube video is simply a video that you can watch. A Hangout is a place to learn something new, ask questions, and be interactive with the host of the Hangout. The host can also make in live on YouTube at the same time. Fancy Joining me?

I believe that the Google + Hangout and YouTube together is a fantastic way for businesses to host webinars and question and answer sessions for free. If you are interested in finding out more about a Hangout, I will invite you to join me when I host mine. Just click the add to circles which which can be found in the sidebar on the right where it says G+ Peter Millikin.

That’s right! I will be hosting some Hangouts in the near future and I want you to join me on this new adventure. I am new to this feature, but am willing to get on camera to provide my blog readers valuable information.

The first thing I will do is host a few interviews with some industry leaders. These Hangouts will be recorded and posted on my blog, so feel free to watch them on your own time if you miss the original Hangout. However, if you want to ask my interview subjects a question, hop on the Hangout with us.

This was a LIVE Google + Hangout with David Beckham:

Would you be too nervous to go LIVE on video?

If you are interested in hosting some Hangouts but are nervous too, why don’t we do it together? Let’s learn this new feature together so we can begin hosting our own webinars and question and answer sessions for our customers. We can practice without it being LIVE if you want?!

I’m excited about doing this in the very near future, and look forward to seeing you in a Google + Hangout soon!
